ArtsaRound is pleased to announce the 2024 Images of Pickaway Calendar Contest. Any artist living in, from, or having strong connections to Pickaway County (ages 16 and up) is welcome to participate. All mediums are accepted, including photographs and dimensional art!

The theme of the annual calendar is "Pickaway County.” Participating artists may submit up to 3 pieces of their work fitting that theme. Interpretation is up to the artist, and style may be subjective or abstract, digital or traditional, architectural or landscape, graphic or illustrative. We're looking for your personal view of the essence of Pickaway County.

Submissions will be entered into a juried competition, from which jurors will select 12 pieces plus one cover. In addition to calendar inclusion, selected artists will be asked to matte and frame their piece (or, for dimensional pieces, prepare for display) for our Annual Calendar Gala in December. Proceeds from art and calendar sales will benefit the ArtsaRound Pre-Collegiate Visual Scholarship. Funds will also go towards the upkeep and promotion of our new permanent gallery space, The ArtsaRound Gallery on the Original Circle at 135  W. Main St. in Circleville. Also, portions of proceeds will go to funding for public art projects (murals, sculptures, etc.).  Calendars nearly sell out every year.

The printed size of the calendar art will be approximately 8 x 10 (landscape). For pieces outside that dimensional ratio, we may be required to crop or submount as needed. The judging/selection phase will require a photo of your entries (jpg or pdf only), which you may send to pickawayartsaround@gmail.com. All enteries must include the following information: artist name, title of piece(s), media, and contact info. If selected for inclusion in the calendar, we will gladly assist you in ensuring the best quality rendering of your work will be published.

The deadline for entries is September 1, 2023, and winners will be selected in early September. SUBMISSIONS ARE NOW CLOSED. The calendar will be first available for sale in mid-October and afterward at several locations throughout the county. This is a great opportunity for local and regional exposure, as well as a chance to raise funds for the endeavors of ArtsaRound.
