ArtsaRound is excited to welcome celebrated artist and preservationist Robert Kroeger to the ArtsaRound Gallery this May for a special month-long exhibition and book signing event. The exhibit will launch with a public reception on Friday, May 2, from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM, and remain open to visitors each Friday and Saturday throughout the month.

This event supports the ArtsaRound Gallery’s mission to promote, connect, and support local artists while building a strong, art-inspired community in Pickaway County.

Robert Kroeger’s fine art exhibit will showcase approximately 25 paintings of historic barns from Pickaway County, reflecting his deep appreciation for rural heritage and craftsmanship. Each painting tells a story—capturing the beauty, character, and legacy of Ohio’s agricultural past.

During the reception, Kroeger will share fascinating stories behind many of the barns featured in his paintings, bringing history to life through his words and work.

Following the presentation, attendees will have the opportunity to meet the artist and purchase signed copies of his books; Historic Barns of Ohio, Round Barns of America, and Stone Barns of America (East of the Mississippi).

All book sales and art purchases will directly benefit the ArtsaRound Gallery and help support its ongoing arts programming in the community.

The Pickaway Arts and Life Center and ArtsaRound are teaming up to launch Writer’s Toolbox: a series of free presentations aimed at helping local writers and storytellers hone their craft and share it with the world.

The first presentation will be at the Pickaway County Main Library at 1160 N. Court Street in Circleville on Monday, April 7 at 5:30 in the Crites-Hannan Room. Local author and ArtsaRound board member Jennifer Rainey will kick off the series by discussing How to Tell Your Story and Reach Your Audience.

This presentation will be a high-level look at the paths authors can take to unleash their story on the world and how they can find their community and fanbase. Rainey will cover traditional paths, self-publishing, blogs, podcasts, and more.

“I firmly believe that everyone has a story in them,” says Rainey. “Modern technology and media offer so many effective ways to get that story out into the world.” Rainey comes to the project with an English degree from The Ohio State University and over 15 years of experience in writing and publishing.

ArtsaRound is hosting FAR FROM THE TREE: A Generational Look at the Art of the Higgins Family in the month of March, celebrating the work of local artists Wally and Carol Higgins, their daughter, Kathleen Kahn, and their son, Mitchell Higgins. Join ArtsaRound for the show gala on Saturday, March 15 from 1:00pm – 3:00pm at the ArtsaRound Gallery at 135 W. Main Street in Circleville.

Wally Higgins is known by many as a former history teacher at Circleville High School, but his unique art career has been just as admired by the people of Pickaway County and beyond. Carol Higgins honed her own artistic style, as well, and their children, Mitchel Higgins and Kathleen Kahn were also inspired by the arts.

Kahn will be selling a variety of impressive pieces in the show, and has had several successful exhibitions in Delaware, Ohio where she and her family currently reside. Pieces by Wally and Carol will also be available for purchase, and proceeds from their sales will be donated to ArtsaRound and their mission to support the arts in Pickaway County.

The exhibit will be on display from March 8^th – March 29^th. The ArtsaRound Gallery is located at 135 W. Main Street in Circleville and is open 4-7pm on Fridays and 11am-5pm on Saturdays.

The Art of Inclusion is about celebrating local artists for Disability Awareness Month, and we can't wait to see what this year's artists have to offer. This year's main event is on Sunday, March 9 from 2:00 - 5:00 at the Pickaway County Main Library in Circleville. Art will be available for purchase, and the Library will also feature the Lived Experiences Library, an opportunity to learn about the experiences of those in the disability community.
